Flow
“This body you live in is filled with great wisdom!
Trust it to guide you to what you need to know.
Accept it, take care of it, infuse it with true Love.
The more that you honor it, the more vibrant you grow.
Ask it your questions and listen for its answers.
Take action, make choices, that enable you to Flow!”
— Miriam’s Human Body Wisdom Guides
Speak this entire message aloud, and feel the rhythm in these words chosen by my Human Body Wisdom Guides. Notice what happens in your voice, body, and mind when you allow the words to flow like lyrics in a song. Repeat any phrases that feel particularly right to you, and again notice your body’s response.
Next we will focus on the message, line by line.
“This body you live in is filled with great wisdom!”
Body wisdom is deep, innate knowledge based on the divine template for the human form. It has been expanded upon and encoded into our genes while humans lived on planet Earth. They learned through experience to survive in diverse climates, locations, and cultures, with varying food sources, types of shelter, and ways of life. Some even learned to thrive in their bodies, as many of us are choosing to do now. This body wisdom is different than our mind’s knowledge, although ideally the two work together for our best and highest good. Are you aware of this ‘great wisdom’ within you? Are you open to your body’s messages of wisdom? Can you sense when it is your body speaking with you, versus when it is your mind talking?
“Trust it to guide you to what you need to know.”
Have you ever felt the urge to turn left instead of the usual right on your drive to work, taking an alternate route? Have you ever acted on a whim, applied for a different job, and been hired? Have you ever felt the need to drop everything you had planned for the evening, and go to bed instead? Do you notice what happens when you follow inner urges? Your body is filled with untapped wisdom and gives you signals that are always aligned with your highest good. Once your relationship with your body is based on trust, its guidance bubbles up into your awareness with more ease. Miraculous healings, synchronicities in life, and harmonious relationships with friends, family, and colleagues will take place when you trust your body’s messages.
“Accept it, take care of it, infuse it with true Love.”
When you can accept your body, even when it hurts or while it is dealing with some issue, you allow the energies of healing to flow. Your body’s wisdom can help guide you in how to best take care of it, and how to help it become the miraculous vehicle it was designed to be for your best expression in this world. You are unique, and your body knows exactly what is right for it and for your life. As you learn to love your body unconditionally, and as you envision it being infused with healing, nurturing love from others, from nature, the cosmos, and the divine, you ensure that your body’s wisdom is aligned and accessible.
“The more that you honor it, the more vibrant you grow.”
What does it mean to honor your body? Are you aware of its needs? Do you provide the rest, the movement, the water, and the true nourishment that maintains it and heals it? Do you respect its ‘great wisdom’ and implement its suggestions? Imagine that your body is the greatest gift you have ever been given, and commit to becoming the best caretaker of it that you can be. Pay attention to all that it allows you to do and experience, and express your gratitude to it frequently. If you have ever been awed by particular athletes, dancers, singers, or anyone who obviously cares about and nurtures their body, let them be role models for you to begin to honor your body similarly. Cherishing your body fills it with your love and appreciation, soothing, restoring, and healing it, which then increases your life-force and vitality.
“Ask it your questions and listen for its answers.”
You can communicate with your body as you would with a trusted teacher, and those conversations can be fascinating and fulfilling for both of you. If you are curious about some topic concerning your body, center yourself and then speak out loud, verbalizing your thoughts, feelings and questions. Next, listen for the quiet response from the body, which may be expressed in words, images, or feelings. Another method is to write your thoughts and questions down, and then ask the body wisdom to use your hand and pen to write the answers. You can also ask yes/no questions of the body, and use a pendulum or a ‘muscle test’ to receive yes/no responses. If you don’t currently communicate with your body, try different approaches to find out what works for you. Once you make your intention clear that you want to talk with your body wisdom, the doors open wide for that connection to happen. It takes time and practice to hone good communication skills, but it is well worth it!
“Take action, make choices, that enable you to Flow!”
Affirm that you want to access your body’s ‘great wisdom’ every day. Pay attention to your body and its various ways of guiding you. Honor its many abilities that enable you to do what you love, or need to do that day in your life. Keep a journal, or simply acknowledge at the end of the day the messages you received. Express your gratitude to your beloved body on a regular basis, and focus on learning to communicate well with your body. The more often you align with your body’s wisdom, the more easily it can guide you to free up your energy flow. Together, you can restore health and vigor in all areas of your body and life, so that you are truly one with the flow of life within you and around you!
