These “Health Guides” have been supporting me for the past 40 years. They give practical and specific suggestions during sessions with individual clients. This series of 3 messages offers general guidance to assist you in navigating these times and moving toward better health and well-being. As usual, what follows are ideas from me to deepen their words.

Your health is in your hands, so take responsibility and learn to nourish your cells! Let go of conditioning and habits, and connect with your physical and cellular form. Ask what it needs to heal. Listen closely, and provide what it needs, repeatedly. Your body can repair anything with the proper support! There are many examples of people who have healed themselves from advanced diseases of all types by consciously choosing to change their lifestyles. Start now to witness your own body’s amazing ability to heal!

Dehydration is at the root of most pain and illness. Pay attention to the quality of your water, the taste, and your frequency of water intake. Improve them all, however you can. Learn to differentiate between the signals for thirst and hunger. Notice your skin, hair, and lips: if they are dry, then your organs are also dehydrated. Your body was designed to thrive on the Earth’s clean, ‘sweet’ waters. Honor the gift of life that water brings, and drink it with gratitude!

There are many poisons and toxins in the environment, yet your body can cleanse those with caffeine-free herbals teas, vegetable and miso broths, highly-diluted fruit juices, aloe vera juice in water, green drinks, coconut water, and more. Specific vitamin, trace mineral or enzyme drinks can also be of help. Wash out the sources of inflammation to increase your health.

Living foods provide nutrients your body needs, unlike shelf-stable processed foods. Increase the foods you purchase from your grocery’s produce area and frozen food aisle; minimize the packaged ones from the inner rows of the store. Buy from local organic farmers, or grow your own garden and harvest vibrant, beautiful produce. Your taste buds will awaken as you refine your food choices, and your body will reward you with better energy and food satisfaction.

There has been an immense amount of research on diet in the past 20 years or so, proving repeatedly that all of the chronic diseases prevalent in our modern world are preventable, and even correctable. The standard American diet has been shown to be one of the leading causes of ill health. You have the power to improve your health by changing your diet. Nurture your supportive microbiome and your gut function by maximizing vegetables, leafy greens, nuts & seeds, beans & legumes, whole grains, fruits, and sea vegetables; and by minimizing animal products, and added sugars.

A rich, healthy microbiome creates a strong immune system response. You do not have to fear the next virus in the news if you eat a plant-strong diet, and also have immune-supporting foods and products in your cupboards. Herbals, medicinal mushrooms, antioxidants, trace minerals, and enzymes can assist you as needed at the first sign of discomfort in your throat, sinuses, gut, or skin. An adaptive body can respond to whatever comes its way, dismantling and flushing out harmful substances easily. Your life pattern can transform from one of frequent sickness to one of overall vitality as you improve your cellular health!
